Why we're planting trees and how you can get involved.
From our inception as a company, we pledged to be a planet-first company. We've decided not to use plastic in our packaging and use the most sustainable production possible. We now want to do more.
Tree planting is a trending topic but we know that planting trees is complex work. Not only from a technical point of view – that skills and resources are needed to create suitable places for small trees to germinate and grow – but also, and above all, from a strategic point of view.
Putting seeds in the ground is simply not enough. They must be supported in their growth. To plant for the long term, you need to find the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. The projects that Treedom delivers respond exactly to these needs, as well as those of the people in those communities.

During its lifetime, every tree absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and stores it in the woody parts of the plant. The process of CO2 absorption and its positive effects on our planet are greater the longer the tree lives and grows.

Each project is built to respond to local environmental needs, but the most common of these are combating soil erosion, enriching biodiversity, protecting soil fertility, and creating sustainable ecosystems.

Every single project includes community building and education and skills-based training for both men and women farmers, and projects go on to deliver further social benefit such as poverty reduction, food security, decent work, economic growth and more.

The Treedom Story
Treedom is the first platform in the world that allows you to plant a tree from a distance and follow the story of the project online.
Since its foundation in 2010 in Florence, nearly 3,000,000 trees have been planted in Africa, South America, Asia and Europe. All trees are planted directly by local farmers and bring environmental, social and financial benefits to their communities. Via the Tree Diary, individuals and companies alike can see a picture of their tree, give it a name and put messages on it, as well as receive updates from the field, to help them follow the positive impact their commitment has helped achieve
